Why do badminton shoes lose grip?

A poorly maintained court can make the problem worse. Before applying any product, check that the playing surface is dry, clean and safe. Replace shoes when the tread is badly worn or the outsole is damaged; a grip product cannot repair worn footwear.

- Move away from the playing area. Never spray directly over the court or allow liquid to reach the floor.
- Coat both soles evenly. EDGE® recommends approximately 2–3 sprays per outsole for its full-size spray.
- Allow it to begin drying. Wait briefly, then press or kick the soles against the sideline before stepping onto court.
- Reapply when required. Players can refresh the application during a break, particularly on dusty surfaces.
Results vary by shoe and surface. Always combine traction products with sensible court cleaning, good footwear and normal safety checks.
